Sustainable viticulture

Sustainable viticulture in a Champagne vineyard

In sustainable viticulture, it is a question of finding the place of the soil and the plant in the management of the agro-system and its biodiversity.

In addition, it plays a major role in the cultivation of vineyards, as it guides the moisture well and stores it just as well as it is needed for the cultivation of grapes. In order to preserve the agro-ecological system of the vineyards, our company uses both traditional and modern methods, which comply with the environmental standards of France.

Our philosophy is based on four principles:

  • The conservation of biodiversity and the improvement of our terroirs and landscapes;
  • Phytosanitary strategy with its alternative prevention methods and their traceability;
  • Thinking about fertilizer management and its traceability;
  • Responsible handling of water, wastewater, by-products and waste.

We use mechanical weed control instead of synthetic products, improving the rooting and resistance to drought.
